Storific is a Paris, France-based startup founded by Michael Cohen and Andrés Mejia along with a small team of passionate web developers and designers.
At Storific, we believe that technology, especially mobile innovation, represents a new revolution that can help local businesses improve customer relationships and sales results.
While most of today’s mobile services for businesses are centered around coupons and discounts, we believe that the most efficient way to take advantage of mobile technology is to engage in real time communication with customers. Our motto is “Mobile for Service!”
Storific started in March 2009, with the first beta version of our live local store-to-customer service launched in December of that year.
Since our first beta release, we’ve worked closely with local stores to understand their specific needs, and provide a dedicated tool to help a targeted group of local businesses—restaurants, hotels, pubs, coffee and night clubs—communicate with their customers.
Storific has received great support from the Web industry, and was one of the few selected startups at the well-known European LeWeb startup competition in 2009 (www.leweb.net).
Our team is composed of two co-founders as well as a team of passionate Web developers and designers.

Michael Cohen is the founder and CEO of Storific.com. He previously served as a business developer in Europe for Netvibes.com. He graduated with a Master’s degree from ISEG Paris and an MBA in management from ISM/St. John’s University in New York City. Michael loves all gadgets, especially when they have Apple on their backs. If you’re looking to run into him, just check out the nearest Apple Store.

Andrés Mejia is the cofounder and lead developer of Storific.com. He enjoys writing code and has been doing so since he was a kid. He has passionately worked on several Web applications, ranging from small online stores to large social networks. His top priorities are simplicity and details.
